One way to get better at understanding our strengths and learning how to capitalize on them, is through valid and reliable assessments (or through a good coach/mentor). The assessments that you’ll find on this site are all highly reliable and valid. Each of them are based on the DiSC Behavioral Model – a model that has been around for more than 30 years and more than 40 million people worldwide have either taken one of the DiSC assessments or have participated in a DiSC presentation.

DiSC PPSS

While the DiSC PPSS was not primarily designed with the sales professional in mind, it does have a supplemental report that helps the respondent better understand his or her sales style, or rather what behaviors are effective and which ones are less effective when trying to connect with prospects and existing clients. The DiSC PPSS is also a great tool for managers of professionals involved in the sales process. Check out pages 43 through 47 at http://j.b5z.net/i/u/2055788/i/DISC_PPSS_Sample.pdf (it also has a few pages of action planning starting on page 48). This section of the assessment helps managers better understand their sales professionals (or employees involved in sales), helps them understand their sales style, communicate better with them, as well as it provides specific tips on how to help the employee improve their sales performance.
!!! The sample PPSS is loooong because it contains all the supplemental reports. In “real life” any respondent would take only one or two supplemental reports, which would make it considerably shorter. The whole report is very easy to read; the informatin is presented in bullet-point format, written with the busy professional in mind.
The DiSC Dimensions of Behavior provides a nonjudgmental language for exploring behavioral issues across four primary dimensions: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness.
The General Characteristics Report provides an in-depth interpretation of a respondent’s DiSC® PPSS profile. It can be used to train and coach respondents in specific application areas, to focus respondents’ attention on particular areas of behavior, and to provide DiSC Classic users with a next step in behavioral understanding. The General Characteristics Report is the required basis for DiSC PPSS Supplemental and Comparison Reports.

Behavioral Highlights

Personal Profile System® Graphs
Next, the respondent is introduced to the DiSC graph, commonly known as Graph III. This page also offers brief definitions of the four DiSC styles so that the respondent can see how they differ from one another. An optional page showing Graphs I and II can be included.Behavioral Overview
This section presents a narrative description of the respondent’s behavioral style. The narrative explains what factors influence the respondent and how he or she tends to behave.
